I hope readers are enjoying the story so far. Sam and Neil are quite an odd couple but that can often be a good attribute for a friendship because they can rely on the other’s strengths. We all have at least one of those so diversity might not be such a bad thing, especially in a situation where mutual survival can be maintained through cooperation.
I wanted to give the chapters titles but I didn’t like the “Part 1…Part 2” aspect of titling longer sections that spanned more than one chapter. I’m still using titles because I think every chapter deserves its own identity, as it was, in the context to the rest of the story. So if some of the titles seem a little weird, it means that I stopped trying to be clever.
Although about 20 chapters are complete, they’ll get one more revision before they are posted here. That means the text you will be reading is at least the 8th draft. So even if it’s crap, it will be well-written. The ending is not yet complete from the new scene revisions of earlier drafts but everything will be done on time. In fact, I’m about five weeks ahead of schedule as it is. Regardless, I remain intent on providing high-quality writing as long as I have my name attached to it. (If I sell out the rights and become a brazillionaire, all bets are off).
Anyway, thanks again for reading. The response has been much more that I ever anticipated. I was expecting to be ignored and that’s not happening so this project has already been a success, as far as I’m concerned. See you next week!
