Dan Schell is the author of the rock n’ roll satire The Road to Fluffer (2012), Collected Poems (2016), and the zombie satire, The Body Shop (2023). He has also published poetry and book reviews in several publications over the last 30 years.
In 1999, he released the experimental electronic CD “Attention-Deficit Democracy” using all sampled source material. The following year, he contributed to The Droplift Project, a “culture jamming” compilation of sound collage that gained attention from national media such as Entertainment Weekly and a review from renowned music critic, Dave Marsh.
In the early 2000s, Dan played drums in the Michigan sludge metal band “candy” and briefly played guitar for the metal band Tension Head.
In December 2022, he received his first national photo credit and interview in the Wall Street Journal, discussing his favorite holiday treats.
Dan currently lives in Metro Detroit, where he is working on his next novel, The Bard of Armageddon, and his second poetry collection.
